I just want to share this experiece regarding a girl who fights for her life. It was 12pm at Maramag Hospital since our shift is 12-8am, this young lady was diagnosed with sepsis and was rushed to hospital for D&C (dilatation and curettage) minor surgical procedure. The physician founds out that she was 7 months pregnant and the fetus was dead at about one week on her womb, without her knowledge. Ofcourse this young lady was on critical stage that time, fighting for her life. She can’t even breath on herself alone but by the help of oxygen through AMBUBAGGING. Together with my classmate we had witnesses her hardship, especially the effects of general anesthesia where she was a bit irritable but unconscious. Her oxygen saturation was lower at exactly 52 sometimes it climbs up to 72. Since the normal O2 saturation is 95% and above. We thought she would die on that day coz she was already pale and cyanotic(bluish) and was undergone intubation. She was given 2 units of pack RBC and a combination of antibiotic drugs, though it’s quite tiresome pumping the bag for her to breath but we motivate ourselves to take our whole energy pumping the bag just to save her life.

After 2 hours of AMBUBAGGING she miraculously awake out of her comatose stage and was trying to communicate us by means of signs. That time i realized how good GOD is, the girl stood up and fights for her survival and yet she never lose her faith to GOD but by her devotions and will to live has just brought her a new life to cherish with. See how this girl stood up, we discovered she has 1 year old daughter waiting for her and i realized that thing made her to fight back against her condition and ofcourse GOD won’t let it happened. Now the girl was on stable condition even the physicians can’t even believed that she would survive out of her fatal condition.

After that incident i just realized that it’s hard to leave in this world especially when things between you and other people surrounds you are yet to be fixed.Like a saying ” Prepare for tomorrow by working today” you have to work hard and prepare yourself from whatever possible things that may happen to you so as this things may come you are already prepared.
We also discovered that she was a single mom and maybe this fact led here to deny her pregnancy state, coz she tried to deny that she was pregnant 3 days prior to the death of the fetus. See, how a small mistake becomes a big burden on your shoulder, just be watchful on your actions, great problem starts with a simple one, so before this things may happen make sure that you have with you the will and strength to accept and fight from whatever consequence that may arise.
